Uniquely characterised by high energy, driving bass lines, hypnotic melodies and relentless groove, Daes has become known for his ability to transport audiences on a musical journey. His sound is a fusion of the old and new, drawing inspiration from the classic sounds of Chicago and Detroit, while also incorporating cutting-edge, forward-thinking & and eclectic ideas that push the envelope of the modern sound.

 

Daes’ musical journey began in Sydney, Australia, mixing and mastering music amongst the local scene before diving into the world of DJing. With a strong passion for electronic music and a desire to share his own unique sound with the world, Daes has been booked to warm up for a musically diverse range of leading artists such as Bart Skils, Layton Giordani, DJ Tennis, Ame, Roger Sanchez, Reelow, Basement Jaxx, Faithless, Palms Trax, Gene Farris & Denis Sulta, amongst others, and has appeared on lineups for leading parties such as Glitterbox Ibiza.

This, paired with his father’s history as a disco DJ, has allowed Daes to develop a wide-ranged sound spanning from techno to house, minimal to electro, and electronica to disco. The diverse sound that Daes has come to develop has attracted support from peers in the industry such as Jamie Jones & Hot Since 82. Gearing up for a series of summer shows across Europe, Daes has been focused on producing new music that will aim to elevate him to higher levels and broaden his fanbase.
