The Lounge Bar is a spacious, high ceilinged space next to the Main Tent, and boasting large windows with a sprawling view of Cockle Bay Wharf. With an eclectic mix of modern seating and a striking blue wall framing proceedings, it’s a good spot for kicking off the weekend with a cocktail, or getting together after work.

Private Dining Room & Sunset Deck at Cafe del Mar

Boasting one of Sydney’s largest Private Dining Rooms (PDR) accommodating up to 22 people on one large table or 26 on two tables side by side for sit down; or up to 60 for a cocktail style event!

Main Dining Room at Cafe del Mar

The Main Dining Room (restaurant) is a warm and luxurious space, with floor to ceiling windows connecting the space to the Terrace outside. With high ceilings, designer interiors and unique movable furniture, the room is a sumptuous space larger dining functions. The flexible seating plan, can accommodate a maximum of 16 people on one table, with group bookings always on tables side by side.

Cockle Bay Roof Top Terrace at Cafe del Mar

The Cockle Bay Roof Top Terrace is a great space to sit with friends whilst enjoying beautiful views over Darling Harbour. Feel like your sitting in the Medeterrian whilst taking in the atmosphere around you. There’s space enough for up to 35, so consider it a good one for an after-work catch up, or for kicking off a birthday celebration.

Harbour View Rooftop Terrace, Exclusive Use at Cafe del Mar

Our Rooftop Terrace is basically exactly what you’d want from a rooftop terrace. Sweeping views, places to sit and gaze at said sweeping views with a cocktail in hand, a little shelter from the sun, and a decidedly upmarket, stylish ambience. With enough space for up to 300 guests, the Rooftop Terrace makes for an excellent function venue during the summer months – be it for an after party, a birthday celebration, or launch.

POLICIES & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Age restrictions: No minors are permitted on the rooftop terrace at any time. All evening events are 18 + only.
  • Operating hours: Functions are available Wednesday through Sunday. Events may extend past restaurant hours by arrangement.
  • Deposits & minimum spend: A deposit is required to secure your date. Minimum spends apply depending on space and day. Service charges apply for groups over 10 and on public holidays.
  • Photo release & CCTV: By entering our venue you consent to photography and video recording for promotional purposes; CCTV operates throughout the venuecafedelmar.com.au.
  • Credit card fees: A surcharge applies to all card payments.

We offer a Private Dining Room (26 seated/60 standing), a Main Dining Room (100 seated/250 standing), a Rooftop Terrace (20–350 standing) and full‑venue hire for up to 600 guests.

Minors are welcome during daytime social events in the Main Dining Room or Private Dining Room. The rooftop terrace is 18+ at all times and the entire venue becomes 18+ after 8 pm.
